Treating your pup can get expensive. But Walmart dog treats make it easy to treat your dog on a budget. Here are the best Walmart dog treats to use for training or for fun.
Many of these dog treats are all natural, made with simple ingredients, affordable, and most importantly, relatively healthy. Of course, you know your dog best. So be sure to read the ingredients on these products to make sure they won’t clash with your dog’s diet.
Let’s start with an organic treat that both your pup and you will love. Riley’s Organic Dog Treats come in a multitude of flavors, are made with human-grade ingredients, and have a simple ingredient list. In fact, the ingredients are so short that they can be listed here: 100% organic peanut butter, oat flour, oats, rye flour, peanut flour, and molasses.
The treats are soy, corn, and wheat free. Plus, they’re high in vitamins B and E, and are full of protein. The treats are crunchy, and small enough for pups and smaller dogs. These treats aren’t best for training since they’re on the larger side. However, they’re great as a daily treat.
Another perk to these treats? They help clean your dog’s teeth as they chew. The treats have small ridges that scrape plaque and tartar away as your dog eats them. So if you’re looking for a more natural alternative to those dog bones you see, these are a perfect option.
Can’t find these at your local Walmart? You can buy them on Walmart.com, or grab them here.
The Buddy Biscuits come in both grain-free and whole-grain treat options. Plus, you can get them crunchy or soft. There are so many different options for these delicious and healthy treats.
Unless they specify that they’re whole grain, the treats are made without wheat, soy, or corn. Both the whole grain and grain-free treats are made with simple ingredients too. As far as flavors, you can choose from peanut butter, grilled beef, bacon and cheese, and roasted chicken.
These treats are also made in the USA, so you can feel good about supporting a small business while treating your pup. These treats are also low in calories and fat, have no salt or sugar included, and are great for dogs of all sizes and ages.
These crunchy dog treats aren’t made for training, but work perfectly for a daily treat and are best for medium or larger size dogs. These treats also help clean your dog’s teeth as they chew on them.
The treats aren’t grain-free, but they are made with whole grains and vegetables. Plus, they’re fortified with Omega-3s and antioxidants. They don’t contain corn, wheat, or soy. The flavors are fairly minimal, and if your dog doesn’t like sweet treats, they may not enjoy these. However, there are bacon-flavored treats, plus pumpkin, banana, and apple cinnamon.
The Three Dog Bakery soft baked treats are cute and bite-sized pieces that are perfect for small puppies and dogs (although larger dogs can enjoy them too). If you don’t want to make your own sweet potato dog treats, these treats are all made with pumpkin as an ingredient.
They do have additional flavors, including banana and peanut butter, and pumpkin. These treats are technically considered to be crunchy treats, but they’re more like wafers. They’re light and will melt on your dog’s tongue, which is perfect when training or when feeding a small puppy treats.
These treats are also made in the USA and created in small batches. They’re free of artificial flavors and colors and don’t have any preservatives. Keep in mind that some of the treats have eggs and milk on the ingredients list. If your dog is allergic to dairy or eggs, you should skip these.
These Old Mother Hubbard classic crunchy dog treats are classic and come from an old-time brand that’s been around for years. These crunchy biscuits are perfect for dogs of all sizes and come in multiple sizes themselves (including mini treats).
The best part about these treats? They come in loads of different flavors, including chicken and apples, liver, and even cheddar. Plus, each treat is only 3 calories each, so these treats are perfect for training. In fact, they even made the list of our favorite treats for puppies.
These treats aren’t grain-free and are made with wheat. However, they’re made with real peanut butter, fruits, and vegetables. They don’t have any preservatives or meat by-products, and the company is based in Canada.
Does your dog have allergies? Do they love savory treats? If you said yes to both of those questions, these limited ingredient treats are the perfect option for them.
Not only are these treats made with a minimal amount of ingredients, but they’ve been independently tested. This means that they are tested by a 3rd party in order to ensure that they are safe and healthy for your dog.
These treats come in many different flavors, including brown rice and lamb, sweet potato and bison, and sweet potato and fish. They’re also grain-free and made with real meat, not meat by-products. Plus, no matter which flavor you choose, you’ll be giving your pup a treat that was made with less than 10 ingredients.
These treats are also slightly crunchy, so they’re great for dogs who love more biscuit-like treats.
