Whale Watching

I went on my first whale watching tour in the Pacific Northwest! My friends and I took a 2 hour ferry ride from Seattle to the San Juan Islands, which is north of Seattle, but slightly south of Canada. Here are some photos from the day trip! … [Read More...]

Work Trip to NYC

I was recently in NYC for the day job for a couple of weeks. Luckily my friend stayed at my place to petsit the dogs. This is one of the longest trips I have ever taken away from them and I missed them so much! They were in good hands, so I didn't really have to stress about them too much while I was away. I only had two days off during those two weeks and I made the most of my spare time! I was with two co-workers, one from our Seattle office and one from our NYC office. We had so much fun in the city! We started on the upper east side and went to the MET. We explored for a few hours and then strolled through Central Park. We walked through the park to the upper west side and went to … [Read More...]

Vermont for the summer!

It's that time of the year again! The weather in Orlando is starting to get hot and humid, so I am spending a couple months up in Vermont with my family! After a long two day drive and 1300+ miles later, we made it safely to my parent's farm. I have also made the decision to put Diva Dog Bakery on hold this summer so I can take a break from baking. It's been hectic since January and I need a few months to re-energize :) Front Porch View I also get to spend some time with these ladies- Heidi, Hildi and Hanna We have been here for a few days and have done some exploring down some quiet, country roads. Lots of tractors, pick up trucks and 100+ year old houses & … [Read More...]

Disney’s Splittsville & Characters in Flight

Last weekend me and Miss C. did some hanging out at Downtown Disney. Guess what ride we went on?! Yup, Characters in Flight! I have been wanting to go on this for a while now, but every time I was at Downtown Disney, the ride seemed to be closed due to high winds or bad weather. Well today was our lucky day! The weather was a bit iffy. In fact, normally groups of 20 go up at a time, but because it was a bit windy out, only groups of 12 were allowed up at a time. We ended up waiting a solid 40 minutes to get on this ride, but it was worth it! The ride lasts approximately 10 minutes. We went up to about 400 feet and our visibility was great. I also thought we would be in a large basket … [Read More...]

Weekend Trip to Seattle – Part 2

This is part 2 of my weekend trip to Seattle! With all our sight seeing and exploring, we hopped on this trolley a bunch. It was fairly inexpensive and a really convenient way to get out and about. Continuing on our trip, we spent a lot of time in the cutest little town called Ballard. And look what I found! This is a chain in the Pacific Northwest and I just adored it! It was small enough to be personal but large enough to have everything pet owners could need. Obviously I had to grab some dog treats to take home :) We checked out this fun restaurant called the Hi Life. Great specials for happy hour! Then we headed over to the Matador, which is known for … [Read More...]
